Project Overview:

The rapid growth of AI and digitalization is driving unprecedented demand for data centers that require large, reliable sources of energy. In response, the Renewables & Clean Power (R&CP) team have signed the EPC contract for the Cheyenne Power Hub Project, one of the largest gas-fired power generation facilities in the United States. The candidate will act as the Mechanical BOP Field Engineer for the CCGT Area on the Cheyenne Power Hub Project in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and may start in the home office in Reston, Houston or Cheyenne, Wyoming, as single status, supporting preconstruction planning ahead of field mobilization. #

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Field Engineer CCGT performs construction field engineering within the mechanical discipline for balance of plant scopes in the Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Area. Duties include interpreting mechanical design drawings and specifications, supporting installation of rotating equipment, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and associated BOP systems, field verification of materials, and technical support to superintendents, foremen, and craft professionals.\#LI-RM1 #

Major Responsibilities:

• Work Planning & Packaging
• + Prepares construction drawings, sketches, and installation work packages for assigned CCGT scopes, and assists in planning construction methods, installation sequence, and resource loading.

+ Prepares field change documents and requests for information, supports verification of change notices and amendments, and assists in preparing workforce, material, and equipment schedules. + Assembles cost estimates, reviews engineering bills of materials, and reviews project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule.

• Material Management
• + Initiates requisitions and quantity takeoffs for field purchased material, including mechanical equipment, shims, and consumables, and issues material to craft professionals.

+ Inspects material on receipt and material issued for preservation and maintenance, and tracks purchases in procurement systems. + Reviews subcontractor and vendor equipment submittals for conformance to engineering requirements and coordinates responses to requests for information.

• Quantities
• + Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems, validates installation through field inspection and documentation, and tracks subcontract progress for schedule and cost reporting. # Major Responsibilities(Contd.):
• Safety / Quality Control
• + Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are adhered to in the operational area, and reviews design documents and model data for readiness for safe construction.

+ Verifies material quality and workmanship against codes, specifications, and drawings, and performs inspections and prepares test plans, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports. + Monitors delivery, storage, preservation, and installation of mechanical equipment to assure conformance and adequate environmental protection, and ensures compliance with contract documents.

• Technical
• + Interfaces with discipline construction engineers, superintendents, foremen, and craft professionals in interpreting design and vendor documents, and coordinates engineering solutions and constructability issues with design.

+ Supports equipment setting, alignment, and grouting activities, conducts tests on equipment, and prepares construction test plans and records. + Inspects and records installed components for technical acceptance and supports system walkdowns and turnover of CCGT Area systems. + Drafts change notices, extra work orders, and back charge notices, facilitates commodity installation means and methods, and ensures compliance with industry and international codes and standards. #

Education and Experience Requirements:

+ Requires mechanical engineering bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. #

Required Knowledge and Skills:

+ Maintain, promote, and cultivate a safe work ethic and work environment within the craft. + Knowledge of mechanical construction, including rotating equipment, pumps, tanks and vessels, heat exchangers, and balance of plant systems, and of equipment setting, alignment, and grouting. + Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including

ASME B31.1.

+ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, with excellent communication and problem-solving ability. + Able to walk the jobsite on uneven surfaces, climb ladders and scaffolding, and use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). + Able to work extended schedules and night shift as required to support project execution plans. #

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

+ Experience on combined cycle facilities. + Knowledge of centerline equipment and HRSG installation. + Experience with modularization, lifts and hoists, and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP). #
