Job Description

Aerospace Manufacturing Excellent Benefits Long-Term Opportunity We are a precision aerospace manufacturing company located in La Mirada, California , seeking a talented and motivated Autodesk Inventor Drafter to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and wants to be involved in more than just drafting. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and machine shop personnel to turn concepts and ideas into accurate 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and production documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain 3D models using Autodesk Inventor. Create detailed part drawings and assembly drawings for manufacturing and production. Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component documentation. Convert concepts, sketches, existing parts, and engineering information into accurate manufacturing drawings. Work directly with engineering and machine shop personnel to develop and improve designs. Revise existing drawings and models as designs and manufacturing requirements change. Maintain drawing revisions and assist with document control . Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and suitable for manufacturing. Assist with organizing and maintaining engineering files and technical documentation. Support engineering and manufacturing with other technical projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Autodesk Inventor is highly preferred. AutoCAD or Solidworks experience is beneficial. Experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus. Ability to read and understand mechanical and manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes is a plus. Experience working in a machine shop, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment is a strong plus. Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or similar educational/technical background is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively with engineers, machinists, and manufacturing personnel. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

We are looking for someone who is accurate, organized, mechanically inclined, and willing to take on multiple responsibilities . The right person will not simply sit at a computer and create drawings. We want someone who is comfortable working directly with our manufacturing team, understanding how parts are actually made, solving problems, and helping turn ideas into practical manufacturing solutions.
