Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter for a contract/temporary opportunity in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented CAD/Drafting professional with strong AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP experience who enjoys supporting engineering teams on electrical construction documents. The Electrical Drafter will work closely with engineers, designers, and other drafters to produce accurate drawings, models, plans, sections, and details for MEP projects. This opportunity offers a collaborative engineering environment, exposure to a variety of project documentation, and the chance to contribute directly to high-quality design deliverables. Key Responsibilities
  • Create electrical drawings and models from written and verbal specifications provided by engineers.
  • Draft MEP construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD, including drawing setup, layering, xrefs, circuiting, and detailing.
  • Prepare floor plans, site plans, section views, detail drawings, panel schedules, single line diagrams, and equipment elevations.
  • Coordinate closely with designers, drafters, and engineers to maintain consistency and accuracy across project documents.
  • Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and conference calls as needed to support coordination and project progress. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay rate: $35 to $38 per hour.
