Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Drafter II Full Time Technical Gainesville, FL, Gainesville, FL, US Job Purpose Prepare detailed 2D and some 3D tank drawings according to specifications provided by Estimating, Project Management and Engineering Departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drawing Production:
Coordinate with Estimating, Project Management and Engineering to produce job specific drawings. Revisions. As-Builts. Printing and Distributions. Basic 3D models and Fabrication Drawings (with direct supervision).
Drafting Standards:
Proper implementation of CROM standards. Revise and/or maintain standard Company drawing blocks as directed by Drafting Supervisor. Participation in department meetings. Other duties as assigned and seasonal projects as necessary. Essential Requirements Proficient in 2D and basic 3D AutoCAD (paper space/model space and annotation scales). High motivation level and strong attention to detail. Strong mathematical skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Ability to follow verbal/written instructions. Ability to sit/stand at workstation for a prolonged period of time. Must be able to complete work in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications A.A. Degree in Drafting Technology or other related technical degree or a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in 2D and some 3D AutoCAD drafting in a production environment. Intermediate MS Excel skills. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting in a production environment. Proficiency in current release of 2D AutoCAD. Advanced MS Excel skills. Certification in current release of AutoCAD. Working Conditions Primarily office. Occasional travel may be required for continuing education and visits to the shop/job site. Extended hours may be required as necessary to meet deadlines.
