Drafting Technician

The Drafting Technician is a full-time position responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects. Essential Functions Develops various forms of architectural building plans from written contracts within an AutoCAD system; including building specifications and layouts, sections, details, truss drawings, and specialty items for building code issues. Interacts & develops relationships with various individuals across the company; including engineers, architects, construction estimators, sales estimators, project managers and sales consultants. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-year degree in Drafting or equivalent experience, preferably in the post-frame construction industry Experience with AutoCAD is preferred Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Able to work independently, as well as within a team setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
