POSITION SUMMARY
The Draftsman - is an individual selected to draw plans for Global Vessel and Tank products. The Draftsman must be comfortable working at a computer or drafting table and able to work alongside an engineering team. The Draftsman should stay up to date on the latest software and advancements. He will have impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of Pressure Vessels, Tanks, and other Equipment that the company builds and supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows specifications and calculations to create technical drawings Prepares both rough drafts and detailed construction drawings with CADD systems. Follow specifications and calculations to create various equipment drawings Prepare detailed CAD drawings for approval and construction Communicate with management and customers to incorporate all knowledge into the drawings Ensure final drawings are to customer expectations and meet all regulatory requirements Think creatively to support the team in all drawings Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team. Save and file all drawings and calculations to their proper destinations within the server Support QA/QC in needed drawings and calculations for ASME or API codes Support facility manager in printing of required drawings for construction
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Four-year degree from accredited university. Degree from a technical college is acceptable. Experience in Computer Aided design and drafting (CADD) Ability to draw manually favorable, but not essential Ability to work well with the team as well as on your own. Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude. Proficient in Global Vessel and Tank software programs
Pay:
$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
