Do you have a passion for mechanical design and a keen eye for detail? Are you eager to work on innovative projects and collaborate with a dynamic team? If so, Think-PLC is looking for you to join our team as a Mechanical Designer! Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Limited part and assembly design. Detailing 3D CAD models with senior engineering assistance. Produce 2D detail drawings from 3D for fabrication and documentation. Study sample parts, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products. Study drawings to complete mechanical subassemblies and assemblies as required. Other duties assigned by supervisor as needed. Candidate must be open to doing a wide range of tasks - CAD work to fully hands on. Qualifications 2-4 Years of experience with industrial machine building required. AAS degree in engineering technology or similar is required. 3D modeling experience required. SolidWorks experience preferred. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or draftsight. Ability to use measuring tools; Micrometers, Calipers, and Bore Gauges. Ability to understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Ability to utilize manual lathes and mills to manufacture parts. Working knowledge of manual & CNC equipment capability, part processing, and machining. CNC machining/ CAM programming experience a plus. General knowledge of all hand tools. General knowledge of industrial parts and machinery. Mechanical assembly experience required. Multi-process welding experience is a plus. MIG/TIG Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Long periods of standing. Follow company established safety procedures. Accurate "job-based" time keeping in mobile reporting app. Must provide their own basic hand tools (Screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, hammers etc.) Specialty tools will be provided for use by the employer. Travel for on-site machine installations may be required.
