Mechanical Designer 1 Engineering | Full-Time | Onsite - York, Nebraska Turn Designs Into Equipment You Can Actually See Are you interested in mechanical design, manufacturing, and seeing your work come to life on the shop floor? Cyclonaire is looking for a Mechanical Designer 1 to join our Engineering team in York, Nebraska. In this role, you'll use SolidWorks to create detailed production and assembly drawings that help turn engineered concepts into equipment built right here in our manufacturing facility. You'll work alongside experienced designers, engineers, and production team members while continuing to build your technical skills and knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing. This is a great opportunity for someone with CAD training or related experience who is ready to grow their career in mechanical design. What You'll Do Create 2D production drawings using SolidWorks and PDM Vault Prepare assembly, part, weldment, and customer approval drawings Translate models, specifications, layouts, blueprints, and sketches into accurate technical drawings Work closely with engineers and designers to complete projects Partner with our production team to ensure designs align with fabrication techniques and manufacturing capabilities Help manage drawing priorities and deadlines to keep projects moving Develop documentation for designed equipment Gain hands-on knowledge of industrial equipment, metal fabrication, and manufacturing processes What You'll Bring Required skills and qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Computer-Aided Design/Drafting , OR 1-2 years of related experience , or an equivalent combination of education and experience Understanding of mechanical design concepts and pneumatic circuits Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work within established design standards and guidelines Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to manage details, priorities, and deadlines Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams Experience that will help you succeed: 2D CAD experience using AutoCAD or equivalent software 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks Knowledge of mechanical drafting principles and dimensioning methods Familiarity with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, metal fabrication, or design principles How We Work at Cyclonaire Our Core Values aren't just words on a wall.
