Summary :
Insight Global is seeking enthusiastic individuals interested in growing within drafting and design to join their team in Schenectady, NY. This role is fully onsite. This role is responsible for taking engineering input to create quality, on-time, world-class models & drawings for large scale power plant components. This role is supporting General Electric's Configuration Management and Product Definition team within their generator, steam path, and structures divisions. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 7/8am-4/5pm EST. Below is a breakdown of the daily activities: Create and maintain 3D drawings, Bills of Materials, and CAD models/assemblies for large Power Generation Steam Turbine and/or Generator components. Self-sufficient in the following to enable design completion: Retrieving design input information Executing design details per standard GE practice and documentation Issuing drawings, models, and Bill of Materials per documented GE processes Interface with drafting, engineering, and manufacturing to create high quality producible designs. Help define/maintain and meet scheduled dates for design related activities and provide early communication to alert management of issues Understand and follow GD&T principles and GE drawing standards. Full knowledge of Bill of Material structures/principles. Proficient in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and change management methodology.
Compensation:
$31/hr to $32.57/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
