Job Description

Job Summary The Designer III is responsible for working closely with an engineer and preparing complex, detailed 3D CAD models and 2D fabrication drawings for the manufacture of surface production equipment such as pipe racks, horizontal separators, heater treaters, filters, process piping assemblies, and equipment skids. Create P&IDs including line numbers, equipment and instrument tags, etc. Essential Duties & Responsibilities MUST be proficient in Plant 3D and Plant P&ID. Create 3D solid models of equipment using pipe, rolled plate, nozzles, formed heads, wide flange beam, flat bar, round stock, etc. AutoCAD 3D. Generate 2D fabrication drawings from 3D solid models. AutoCAD 3D. Ensure dimensional accuracy of fabricated items. Update drawings as appropriate during engineering and fabrication/assembly process as Update existing drawings to reflect necessary changes or standardized drawing format required. Coordinate with and consult other with upstream and downstream stakeholders to design, layout, or detail components to avoid supply chain, design, and fabrication issues. Review and analyze proposals, specifications, sketches, and "go-bys" to assess factors affecting component designs. Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications that describe operational maintenance on various components and/or machinery. Utilize

for vessel code calculations and extract data for vessel designs. Perform cost analysis with an effort to reduce material and labor cost in the fabrication of equipment. Model OEM components when OEM 3D models are not available. Managed CAD part number and specification databases. Interpret structural analysis reports and implement appropriately in design. Utilize parametric design to minimize design modifications. Interface with manufacturing personnel to improve shop efficiency through smart design principles. Exhibit commitment to Company core values in all work activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications MUST be proficient in Plant 3D and Plant
P&ID. 3-5
years' AutoCAD 3D experience required. Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school related to the field of Engineering. 2-3 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with oil and gas surface production equipment is preferred. Language/Math/Reasoning Ability Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical/science procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/scientific instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to operate in a rapidly changing design environment with tight deadlines. Computer Skills Experience with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Experience with 3D CAD software as defined above MUST be proficient in Plant 3D and Plant P&ID. Schedule 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No weekends
