HR Responsibilities:

Work with NI customers, engineering teams, and contract manufacturers to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions. Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to gather system and structural requirements to calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements, then create detailed designs using CAD software. This is a multi-functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability to gather requirements, generate specification documents, interface with contract manufacturers and internal personnel to create custom mechanical designs needed for the system. Generating custom mechanical drawings and designs and Bill of Materials Designing/modeling /prototyping mechanical system components for test and measurement solutions Traveling as needed (possibly up to 25%) domestically and abroad in support of project objectives

Requirements:

AS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics; Higher Education is preferred 5+ years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Drafting Role Highly proficient with 3+ years of experience in CREO Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and processes] In-depth knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e. CREO, Pro/E, SolidWorks Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles Excellent oral and written communication skills History of generating detailed drawings and design documentation Successful history of working with external suppliers US Person (US Citizen or Green Card ) ONLY, ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances Familiar with fixture and tool design and thermal analysis / stress analysis is a plus Knowledge of

FMEA, RCCA

methodologies, fabrication techniques, (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.) Knowledge of ESD principles Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e. grounding, shielding, cable design
