About the Role We are looking for an experienced Piping Designer to join our team and support industrial and high-tech construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in 3D piping design, BIM/VDC coordination, and fabrication/shop drawings . You will create accurate and buildable piping models, coordinate with other trades, resolve clashes, and produce drawings and spool packages for fabrication and field installation. What You'll Do Create 3D models for process, industrial, and mechanical piping systems using Revit and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D Work from P&IDs, PFDs, engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor drawings Design and route piping systems such as process water, chilled water, compressed air, vacuum, gases, chemical systems, drains, and steam Produce shop drawings, isometric drawings, spool drawings, hanger/support layouts, and material reports Perform clash detection and BIM coordination using Navisworks or similar software Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and other project teams Ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and fabrication-ready Update models based on RFIs, design changes, field markups, and as-built information Participate in coordination meetings and communicate with engineers, contractors, fabrication shops, and field teams Perform QA/QC checks before drawings and models are issued What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in piping design, piping detailing, BIM, or VDC Experience working on industrial, process, semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, or oil & gas projects Strong knowledge of Revit MEP/Piping and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D Experience with Navisworks Manage or similar clash detection software Ability to read and work from P&IDs, PFDs, isometric drawings, specifications, and vendor drawings Good understanding of piping materials, fittings, valves, supports, slopes, and fabrication practices Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and/or B31.1 is preferred Experience creating shop drawings and spool packages Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-trade environment Good communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience as a pipefitter, mechanical installer, or similar trade professional Experience with semiconductor, cleanroom, high-purity, or specialty gas systems Experience with Fabrication CADmep, Autodesk Fabrication, BIM 360/ACC, Bluebeam, or point-cloud/scan-to-BIM workflows Experience with stainless steel, PFA, PVDF, CPVC, or other specialty piping materials Willingness to travel to project sites as needed If you have strong piping design and BIM/VDC experience and understand how piping systems are fabricated and installed in the field, we'd like to hear from you.
