Full Job Description Description:
About the Role Pearson is growing, and looking for a Mechanical Drafter who will support keeping our drawings, BOMs, and CAD data accurate and consistent, and as well as support production while machines are being built. Responsibilities Prepare accurate, complete detail drawings, and assemblies. Provide drafting and red-line support to mechanical engineers on custom, engineer-to-order (ETO) projects. Prepare customer floor plans, line layouts, and customer-specific documentation for Sales and Service. Provide technical support to production on projects in build, so engineers can keep machine releases on schedule. Update engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Notice) and manage standard component selection across configure-to-order (CTO) machines. Help coordinate, enforce, and maintain drafting and modeling standards, including revision control of templates for CTO and ETO equipment. Document and maintain machine changes and updates. Communicate standards-driven updates to other departments.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience Completion of a two-year Mechanical Engineering Technology program, or equivalent experience. Experience in SolidWorks. Ability to prepare thorough, detailed drawings. Sound judgment and the ability to work well on a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks and assignments on time Preferred Experience with BOM management and Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Notice processes in a manufacturing environment.
