(GEG) was formed 5 years ago, providing geotechnical engineering services, construction management and material testing services for commercial and public agencies projects. GEG is specialized in foundation, geohazard, pavement, slope stability and mitigation, and retaining wall analysis and design, construction management and material testing for soil, concrete and asphalt. Responsibilities The responsibilities include but not limited to: Perform work following safety procedures and good ethics. Participate in geotechnical field exploration and in-situ testing. Assign and assess laboratory testing program. Field mapping for field conditions and engineering analysis. Interpret and analyze field and laboratory results, perform engineering analysis, preparation of reports, plans and specifications under professional engineer supervision. Typical work includes shallow and deep foundation, pavement design, slope stability analysis and mitigation, geohazard, rockfall analysis and mitigation, settlement analysis, and earth retention structure design. Assists in preparation of the plans and specifications, and bid documents. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BS) in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college is required. Master's degree (MSc) in Geotechnical Engineering is strongly preferred. 0-7 years of related work experience. Solid understanding of geotechnical and foundation engineering fundamentals, geotechnical testing, and general civil engineering design and construction. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret design drawings and construction documents. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in English. Proficiency in computer programs and software. Hold a valid driver's license, have a satisfactory driving record. Available for travel out of state.
