is hiring a Technical Engineer 2 located in our headquarters in Boise, Idaho . The incumbent will perform advanced engineering design and analysis and mentor other engineers. This announcement will serve as the assistant hydraulic engineer position in the Bridge Section. The Technical Engineer 2 will serve as a statewide subject matter resource for the Bridge Section. The successful candidate will have superior time management skills, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work well with others of differing viewpoints.Note:
Some statewide travel required.EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Hydraulic Analysis (70%)- Perform bridge hydraulic analyses.
- Perform 2D hydraulic modeling.
- Perform scour evaluations for replacement and in-service bridges
- Provide independent and quality control check of others work.
- Coordinate phases of engineering work with team members.
- Manage and review hydraulic deliverables completed by consultants.
- Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
- Participate in bridge hydraulic site visits as necessary.
