Job Description
Electrical engineering professional responsible for design, automation, capital project execution, and coordination of engineering deliverables for industrial plant equipment projects. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience Minimum 4 years of engineering experience Experience with electrical design standards and control system design using standard CAD tools Experience with Rockwell PLC programming standards and software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text Experience with variable frequency drives and motion control technologies Experience with HMI configuration, programming, and communication Experience with control system network interfaces and communication protocols between devices and computer system databases Project management experience Experience preparing engineering estimates, including equipment, installation labor, design, startup engineering, and travel Experience managing project schedules including design, procurement, installation, startup, and qualification Experience with equipment procurement, RFQ specifications, purchase orders, supplier tracking, and equipment acceptance Experience organizing equipment reception, installation, startup, ramp-up, and plant acceptance activities Availability to support weekend, holiday, shutdown, and startup coverage as needed Preferred Skills SEE Electrical experience Siemens controls experience Experience with Avtron and Rockwell drives and motion systems Experience with FactoryTalk View ME Studio and Rockwell PanelView Experience with Data Highway Plus, ControlNet, and Ethernet protocols Project team leadership experience Vision system configuration and interface experience for width measurement and defect detection Experience with Cognex, Keyence, Adept, Bytewise, or Gocator vision systems Robotic configuration or application knowledge Experience with Fanuc or Yaskawa robotics Job Responsibilities Complete the electrical portion of large capital projects supporting plant capital execution Coordinate overall engineering deliverables for assigned projects Assist with pre-studies for deployment and development projects in electrical and automation areas Execute design studies for equipment additions, replacements, and upgrades Follow procurement and fabrication of equipment Manage installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment in an industrial plant environment Support projects in prep, tire building, curing, and after-cure process areas Provide detailed electrical design and automation programming for assigned projects Prepare estimates and technical schedules for all phases of process equipment projects Provide backup support and training to plant maintenance teams on newly implemented automation systems Interface with internal support groups and provide direction to contract engineering resources when needed Participate in capital projects and modifications from project start through equipment reception, commissioning, and acceptance Contribute to equipment safety and ergonomic risk assessment evaluations with the receiving plant Track project costs, supplier progress, and equipment acceptance activities
