Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You'll Be Doing Visit multiple aggregate operations to gain exposure to quarry, plant, and production processes. Support operational improvement projects focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability. Collect, analyze, and present operational data to identify opportunities for process enhancements. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality control, and leadership teams on site-based initiatives. Participate in field inspections, project work, and continuous improvement activities across the region. What Are We Looking For Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Demonstrated interest in industrial operations, manufacturing, mining, construction materials, or related environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvements. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and locations. Willingness and ability to travel to multiple aggregate sites and work in a dynamic field environment. Work Environment This internship involves hands-on experience at active aggregate mining sites. Interns should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and navigating rugged terrain and heavy equipment areas.
