About the role:

As a Project Engineering intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the nuclear power industry and contribute to the development of the latest technology. You will report to the APx Project Engineering Manager and be located at our Rock Hill facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

Help develop engineering solutions for the AP300 and AP1000 projects

Support the project engineering team in compiling technical design information and preparing reports

Work with several engineering groups to ensure delivery of engineering commitments

Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on technical challenges and solutions

Help develop licensing strategies and help fulfill licensing requirements

Conduct analysis to support project decision-making

Help prepare presentations and documentation for all partners

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in or master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Interest in the nuclear power industry and nuclear systems and technologies
  • Previous internship or project experience in engineering
  • Familiarity with nuclear power plant design and operations

Basic knowledge of project management principles We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
