Job Description

NDT Xray Level II Reader Consolidated Precision Products seeks an NDT Xray Level II Reader to perform X-ray inspection of complex aerospace castings and machined components in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include setting up and operating X-ray equipment, interpreting radiographic images, identifying and evaluating discontinuities, and documenting results to meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards. The role collaborates with quality and engineering teams, supports continuous improvement, and adheres to strict safety and radiation protection procedures while contributing to mission-critical aerospace products. Interpret and evaluate NDT X-ray images of aerospace castings and machined components to identify defects against customer and industry standards Set up, operate, and verify X-ray inspection equipment per established techniques and procedures Review, document, and report inspection results accurately within quality and traceability systems Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve nonconformances and improve inspection methods Maintain compliance with safety, radiation protection, and regulatory requirements Support procedure updates, technique sheets, and continuous improvement activities in the NDT area Assist in training and mentoring Level I personnel and supporting qualification activities Industrial radiography NDT Level II certification (RT) X-ray inspection equipment operation Radiographic image interpretation Aerospace casting inspection Reading technical drawings and specifications Quality documentation and traceability
