A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Impact of the Role General Profile Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks Develops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational process Works with close supervision Performs manual tasks according to established procedures Essential Functions Assists with repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials Supports with inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements. Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required. Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained. Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing. Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures. Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists. Requires ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings. Required Qualifications Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience:Vocational/Technical Training Degree Discipline/Major:
Technical training preferred Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Mathematical skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise. Detail oriented. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time. May be requested to work a different shift. Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required This position is Safety-Sensitive.Travel Requirements:
