Certified Welding Inspector

Job Responsibilities:
Pennoni is currently seeking full-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in Miami, FL for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies with experience is consistent with, but not limited to: Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers Production of daily written shop reports
Required Attributes:
Minimum Education:
High School Minimum years of experience: 3
AWS Certified Welding Inspector Computer Skills:
Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work well independently and with others Need reliable transportation
Preferred Attributes:
Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication. Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.:
UT, MT, PT
). Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
AWS D1.1/D1.5
