A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,800 employees and an annual output of approx. 300,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer. To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Operates ultra-sonic inspection machines on the shop floor. Performs physical tests which require visual inspection. Such as tests for seams, segregation, quality of coating, bending properties, etc. Must also verify material identification. Requires off site instruction in UT testing techniques. Works to ensure quality of goods produced. Other work as assigned.
Compensation:
Starting Pay of $19.13/hr increasing to $29.52/hr upon successful completion of training period, plus quarterly bonus. Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30pm – 5:00am with possibility of overtime Applicants must be willing and able to work any shift as business needs require. Shift assignments may change due to employee coverage, seniority/bumping, staffing needs, or operational requirements.
