In this position, youll use cutting-edge Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) techniques to evaluate materials, components, and systems without causing damage, helping ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

Your Impact
As an NDI Technician, youll be a critical part of the quality assurance process, identifying defects, verifying compliance, and helping maintain the structural integrity of aerospace components. Your expertise in Ultrasonic Testing and NDI methods will directly contribute to the safety and success of aircraft programs that serve customers worldwide.
What Youll DoKey Responsibilities
Perform non-destructive inspections on materials, components, and systems utilizing:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Eddy Current Testing
Radiography
Liquid Penetrant Inspection
Magnetic Particle Inspection
Thermography
Shearography
Set up, calibrate, standardize, and operate NDI equipment.
Inspect and evaluate parts for acceptance or rejection based on engineering specifications and quality standards.
Interpret inspection results and accurately document findings.
Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process requirements.
Develop inspection techniques using approved procedures and work instructions.
Verify products and manufacturing processes comply with customer and engineering requirements.
Perform audit surveillance of NDI processes and document any non-conformances.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection quality and process effectiveness.
Provide guidance and oversight to trainees and less experienced personnel.
Interpret applicable codes, standards, specifications, and contractual requirements governing NDT methods.
Support the development, verification, and approval of NDI procedures and work instructions.
Assist in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout inspection operations.
Ultrasonic Testing Focus
This role requires extensive experience with advanced UT methods, including:
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
Pulse-Echo Testing
Shear Wave Testing
Through Transmission Testing
Required QualificationsMinimum Requirements
4+ years of related NDI/NDT experience.
Ultrasonic Testing Level I Certification with 40 hours of formal Level I training.
Ultrasonic Testing Level II Certification with 40 hours of formal Level II training.
Proof of 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing On-the-Job Training (OJT).
NAS 410 Certification.
Note:
If documentation of 800 OJT hours is unavailable, valid NAS 410, ASNT, or CP189 certification documentation may be accepted.
Education
Associate Degree in a related technical discipline and at least 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Technical Skills
Strong Ultrasonic Testing expertise.
Experience with advanced UT techniques, including:
Phased Array
Pulse-Echo
Shear Wave
Through Transmission
Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering requirements, and inspection procedures.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also possess:
Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.
Experience working within regulated quality environments.
Knowledge of multiple NDI/NDT inspection methods.
Experience supporting audit activities and compliance programs.
Experience mentoring, coaching, or training inspection personnel.
Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and inspection processes.

Pay Details:
$63.43 per hour
