May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading and executing nondestructive testing (NDT) activities in compliance with

NAS 410, NDT

1052, and applicable customer specifications. This role involves Level III oversight, including certification program management, procedure development, personnel qualification, and part inspection. Develop, implement, and maintain the company s NDT Certification Program. Approve and manage outside NDT agencies. Ensure compliance with internal and customer NDT requirements, including completion of required gap analyses. Prepare and maintain NDT training materials; administer written, practical, and visual acuity examinations. Maintain and organize certification and qualification records for audit readiness. Review NDT process plans to ensure proper sequencing of inspection operations. Serve as or support the Responsible Level III in accordance with NAS 410.
