Job Description

Overview Phoenix Mechanical Integrity Services is seeking an experienced NDT Level II Technician (RT) for shop and field operations in Houston, TX. Candidate MUST be certified as an RT Level II. In this role, you will perform critical radiographic exposures, film processing, and interpretation on piping, pressure vessels, and structural components in accordance with ASME, API, and AWS codes. Responsibilities Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) on shop/field welds, castings, and components using standard X-ray or isotope sources. Process and evaluate radiographs (film/digital) to determine compliance with applicable codes and customer specifications (ASME Sec
V, API 1104, AWS D1.1
). Perform additional NDT methods as qualified (MT, PT, VT, UT). Enforce strict radiation safety protocols, set up radiation boundaries, and maintain dosimeter and survey meter logs. Document test results clearly in detailed inspection reports and maintain client QA/QC records. Requirements MUST be currently certified as NDT Level II in Radiographic Testing (RT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or CP-189 guidelines. Active IRRSP card or State Radiographer Card required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Multi-method certifications (MT, PT, VT, UTT) are a strong plus.
Pay:
$26.92 - $32.42 per hour
