Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced NDT Level III Specialist to provide emergent, high-impact technical support across our commercial aircraft portfolio in the Puget Sound region. In this role, you will author NDT procedures, create CAD designs for specialized calibration standards, and perform equipment setups to ensure absolute precision and airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Author and revise NDT operating procedures, figures, and inspection guidelines. Develop CAD drawings of specialized calibration standards. Set up advanced NDT/NDI equipment to precise calibration standards. Provide emergent, hands-on Level 3 NDT support across commercial aircraft programs. Monitor testing outcomes and report adverse trends or anomalous results.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of NDT education and hands-on work experience. Active
ASNT / NAS410
Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Eddy Current Testing (ET) . Proven proficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to produce certified hour documentation. Willingness to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and up to 15% regional travel. Ability to comfortably work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of aerospace NDT experience. Multi-method Level 3 certification (ET, UT, RT). Hands-on specialization in advanced UT (Phased Array, Shear Wave, Immersion, Bubbler), advanced ET (ECA, LFEC/MFEC), or Radiography (CR, DR, CT). Experience as a Responsible/Principal Level 3 training other inspectors.
