3001579992-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Constellation Energy seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical designs for power generation, distribution, and renewable projects within the Energy & Utilities sector. In this Engineering & Design role, you will perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies; prepare single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and construction documents; and ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, support commissioning and field issue resolution, and contribute to innovative, sustainable energy solutions in a dynamic, growth-focused culture. Responsibilities Develop electrical designs for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects in the energy and utilities sector Produce calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment specifications Perform power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards and support permitting and interconnection Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, construction, and operations teams Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and field design modifications as needed Contribute to renewable and grid-modernization initiatives aligned with sustainability goals Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and review vendor submittals Required Skills Auto CAD Electrical ETAP or SKM power system analysis Low and medium voltage design Protective relaying and coordination NFPA 70/NEC and IEEE standards Short-circuit and load flow studies Single-line diagrams and schematics Equipment specification and sizing Renewable and distributed energy integration Technical report writing
