$38.50-$48.50 per hour W2
Potential Direct-Hire Salary:
$80,000-$100,000 annually
Schedule:
Onsite, Monday-Friday We are urgently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and integration of electrical systems for custom control buildings. This position is ideal for an engineer with experience in power distribution, MCCs, switchgear, control panels, and AutoCAD electrical design. The selected candidate will work closely with customers, structural engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams to integrate electrical equipment into complete building designs.
Responsibilities:
Develop electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and control schematics Design and integrate electrical power-distribution systems Incorporate customer-furnished equipment, including MCCs, switchgear, and control systems Create and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD 2D Coordinate electrical designs with structural engineers and overall building layouts Review customer specifications and technical requirements Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and client specifications Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews Troubleshoot technical and integration issues Provide engineering support during design, fabrication, and system integration Maintain accurate engineering drawings and project documentation
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline Three or more years of electrical design and system-integration experience Experience designing electrical power-distribution systems Experience with MCCs, switchgear, control panels, or related electrical-distribution equipment Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D Experience creating electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and schematics Ability to interpret technical specifications and applicable electrical codes Strong communication, organization, and multidisciplinary coordination skills Ability to work onsite full-time in
South Bend, IN Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within industrial, utility, renewable-energy, data-center, commercial-building, or modular-building environments AutoCAD 3D, Revit, SKM, or ETAP experience Experience performing load calculations or power-system studies Familiarity with NEC and other applicable electrical standards Experience supporting construction, fabrication, or equipment installation
