Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented JetVac CCTV Operator to join our team in maintaining the safety, integrity, and efficiency of underground utility and water systems. In this role, you will operate specialized jet vacuum and CCTV inspection equipment to conduct thorough inspections of pipelines, water systems, and underground utilities. Your expertise will help identify potential issues, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and support maintenance operations across outdoor construction sites and utility infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment while contributing to critical infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Operate JetVac equipment combined with CCTV inspection tools to assess the condition of pipelines, water systems, and underground utilities. Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and power tools to ensure optimal performance. Perform utility locating and cable detection using specialized tools to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation or construction activities. Follow strict safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage systems, electrical work, welding, rigging, climbing, and manual handling to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving heavy equipment operation such as bucket operation and rigging for construction or repair projects. Document inspection findings through detailed reports and logs; communicate issues clearly to team members and supervisors for prompt resolution. Support maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities by utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand tools for equipment upkeep. Qualifications Proven experience working in the energy & utilities sector or related outdoor construction environments. Skilled in heavy equipment operation including dozer, excavator, loader operation, backhoe operation, bucket truck use, and rigging techniques. Knowledge of underground utilities detection, pipeline inspection methods, fiber splicing, cabling procedures, and water system maintenance. Familiarity with safety standards related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; adherence to safety protocols is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working at heights involving climbing or ladder use. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and performing routine equipment maintenance. Strong manual handling skills combined with outdoor work experience in construction site settings. Valid commercial truck driving license preferred; experience operating water systems or utility vehicles is a plus. Excellent communication skills for reporting inspection results and coordinating with team members during on-call coverage or emergency responses.
