About the Role We are developing innovative point-of-care molecular diagnostic technologies using Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) to make disease detection faster, more accurate, and accessible. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, optimization, and lifecycle management of the electronics powering our next-generation diagnostic instruments. Key Responsibilities Own the GMR instrumentation electronics platform throughout the product lifecycle. Evaluate and improve existing hardware architecture, performance, reliability, and scalability. Design and optimize analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and multilayer PCBs. Lead schematic development, PCB reviews, component selection, and hardware architecture decisions. Develop production-ready electronics with a focus on DFM, DFA, and DFT. Design and optimize signal processing, temperature monitoring/control, power systems, signal integrity, and EMC performance. Perform hardware verification, electrical characterization, environmental, thermal, and reliability testing. Troubleshoot complex hardware issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Develop engineering specifications, design documentation, verification reports, and technical records. Support risk management, Design Controls, DHF documentation, and FDA-regulated product development. Collaborate with software, systems, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and other engineering teams. Manage relationships with PCB manufacturers, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external engineering partners. Lead projects from concept through commercialization.
