Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Controls Engineer to lead the design and development of industrial automation, electrical power distribution, and electromechanical systems. This role will oversee projects from concept and prototype through testing, manufacturing,missioning, and customer implementation.
The ideal candidate brings a strongbination of industrial controls, electrical power systems, machine automation, and electrical safety experience and isfortable serving as a technical leader across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and field service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of industrial power delivery and machine control systems.
Develop automation architectures including PLCs, distributed I/O, HMI, machine sequencing, and industrialmunications.
Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing procedures.
Select and specify PLCs, control hardware, I/O, and related electricalponents.
Work directly with customers to understand and customize power and automation requirements.
Support machine safety, electrical power interconnection, and applicable industry standards.
Develop design verification and manufacturing test procedures.
Troubleshoot electrical, automation, and system-level issues with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in industrial system design, controls, and power systems.
Hands-on experience with industrial power systems and electromechanical equipment.
Experience designing and automating industrial machinery or systems.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards such as
NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508, IEC
60204, or
SEMI S22.
Experience with low-voltage industrial power systems up to 600VAC.
Strong problem-solving,munication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred
Industrialmunication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT.
Machinemissioning and startup experience.
Experience with robotics, motion control, or machine vision.
ERP or manufacturing systems experience.
