Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee and execute installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage electrical systems. This role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low-voltage systems and demonstrate leadership capabilities to guide technical teams through complex projects. Responsibilities Lead the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of low-voltage electrical systems such as security, fire alarm, data cabling, audio-visual, and access control systems. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians to ensure timely and accurate project completion. Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a safe and productive work environment. Conduct quality control inspections to verify system performance and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports. Experience Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role with a strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience supervising or leading technical teams. In-depth knowledge of low-voltage wiring, system installation, testing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with relevant safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and clients.
