Limited Travel About the Opportunity Qualdoc Staffing is seeking a Sales Engineer with direct experience in low-voltage switchgear to support technical sales and proposal development for power distribution systems, including data center applications. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial execution , ideal for someone who can translate technical requirements into competitive, accurate proposals while working closely with customers and internal teams. Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to work on mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects High-impact role supporting fast-paced quoting and sales efforts Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams Strong visibility and growth potential within a growing market What You'll DoTechnical Sales & Proposal Development Review customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and project documentation Develop switchgear elevations and layout drawings for proposals and submittals Support quoting efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals Size and specify key electrical components, including breakers and control systems Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams to ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability Participate in customer discussions to clarify scope and resolve technical questions Support value engineering efforts to balance cost, performance, and design requirements Maintain strong communication and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment Project & Sales Support Deliver timely and accurate quotes aligned with customer expectations Ensure clear alignment between technical design and production capabilities Occasionally travel for customer meetings, project reviews, or strategic discussions What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 3-8+ years of experience in low-voltage switchgear, power distribution, or related electrical systems Strong ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical schematics Experience specifying breakers (e.g., ABB, Schneider, Eaton, Siemens) and related components Familiarity with UL standards and data center applications (preferred) Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design tools Strong attention to detail with a commercial mindset What Success Looks Like Quotes are delivered accurately and on time Strong alignment between customer expectations and final product execution High level of customer confidence in technical expertise Clear communication and collaboration across teams Ability to move with urgency while maintaining quality Additional Notes Must be based in Ohio (Marietta or Columbus preferred) Direct experience with switchgear is required Make an Impact This is a great opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys working on the commercial side of engineering—helping drive projects forward from concept to execution in a growing industry.Pay:
