Grid Systems We are seeking a Lead Protection & Control Engineer to support T&D substation projects (AC, HVDC, FACTS). This role focuses on design, coordination, and technical leadership of protection & control systems, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Key Responsibilities Design and review protection schemes for substations, data centers, industrial, and BESS projects Develop P&C deliverables: one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, etc. Lead design teams (local/remote) and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders Work with

IEC 61850

architectures, SCADA, and communication systems Perform design calculations (DC systems, voltage drop, CT/PT sizing) Interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and field activities Contribute to design standards, quality improvements, and project execution Required Qualifications BSEE (Power Systems preferred) 5+ years in protection & control for transmission/distribution substations (AIS/GIS) Experience with relay schemes, system protection, and substation design EIT or P.E. (or pursuing licensure) Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Willingness to travel up to 20% Preferred Experience with ETAP, Aspen OneLiner (relay coordination, load flow, short circuit, arc flash) Knowledge of IEC 61850 and

NERC-CIP

standards Experience with

HVDC / FACTS
