full-time About Chalette Chalette is an AI implementation firm serving small business owners, executives, and C-suites of mid-market companies. Our flagship product, Command Room, is an AI-powered operational memory system that tracks commitments, meetings, people, and decisions for business leaders. The product is built in Python and plain language skills, ships on Anthropic's Claude platform, and is in production with paying clients. Position Summary Chalette the Product Engineer will own the technical side of the product: building and shipping features, maintaining code quality, managing the release and test infrastructure, and supporting client deployments. Development at Chalette is AI-assisted; the engineer will work extensively with AI coding and review agents within an established, test-gated build process, and is accountable for the correctness of everything shipped. Responsibilities Build and ship product features from a prioritized backlog through the company's spec, build, review, and release process Review and validate AI-generated code; serve as the final technical judgment on correctness, architecture, and risk Maintain and improve the automated test suite, CI pipeline, and multi-client release infrastructure Improve the accuracy and reliability of the product's data and AI pipelines Bring scoped product initiatives from plan to launch Automate internal operations and tooling Document systems and technical decisions Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong Python Demonstrated ability to assess and work in a large existing codebase Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agent-based workflows Strong testing discipline; experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred) Clear written communication; comfortable producing specs and technical reviews Comfortable in a Windows development environment
