Job Description

Sanctuary Treatment Center is currently looking for full and part time LVNs for 8 hour shifts at our detox and residential facility! The LVN is responsible for providing a variety of nursing services that focus on prevention, education, and treatment of the physical and mental health of clients. The LVN works collaboratively as a member of the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. Availability, we are currently looking for: 7am-3:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm

•Must be available at least one weekend day

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with client self-administration of medication and records/monitors vital signs. Conducts initial intake assessments and evaluations, including detox protocols. Ensures accurate documentation of medication and lab orders Observes and reports changes in client conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and takes any necessary action Responsible for the management and organization of medication room, including supply inventory and equipment compliance. Evaluates medical concerns and directs clients to emergency medical care when required. Works with the treatment team and physicians to assess client needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions. Reviews medication logs, conducts medication counts and requests refills as needed. Provides support, monitoring and supervision of clients to assist non-clinical staff. Performs breathalyzer analysis and monitors urine test samples from client.

Qualifications:

At least 21 years of age. LVN licensure required. Possession of a valid license/certificate of registration issued by the California Board of Nursing Education and Nurse registration is required. Experience working in a detox/substance use treatment facility preferred. Experience working with clients that have co-occurring mental health diagnoses preferred. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
