More about the role This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Mechanical Engineer in Peachtree City, GA with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. Key Areas of Responsibility Develops and implements solutions to meet performance and reliability requirements from concept through product release. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance hardware designs. Responsible for the design, development, testing and documenting of a system, subsystem, or a component as part of an overall architecture. Ensure that engineering solutions are practical, efficient, and aligned with project goals and industry standards. Applies the latest technology and research findings/results into engineering designs solutions and design rules. Designs, realizes, tests (sub-) systems or components based on design requirements and produces specs for the product and propositions. Drives IP creation and protection (Patents, Trade secrets, Copyrights). Critical Experiences Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a closely related field, providing foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Experience in thermal and mechanical design and analysis within research and development environments, focusing on hardware innovation and product development. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering is highly recommended to validate technical competence and adherence to industry standards. Salary:
$61,000- 89,000 based on experience
Bonus:
target bonus opportunity - 5%
