Job Description
Fountain Technical Product Manager We are in search of a Fountain Technical Product Manager to contribute to the advancement of our beverage dispensing product lines in Carol Stream, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vital product specifications, collaborating closely with Marketing Product Managers, and steering the product roadmap for both existing offerings and new product innovation. Acting as the liaison between customers, commercial teams, and engineering, you will ensure that our products align with real-world requirements, meet performance standards, and support long-term commercial success. This role is an individual contributor position with a strong technical emphasis and significant visibility within the organization. This role has a hybrid schedule that includes in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday , with flexibility for the remainder of the week. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new beverage dispensing products or enhance existing ones Conduct market analysis, gather customer needs, and translate them into precise product specifications and roadmaps Develop compelling business justifications for new fountain beverage equipment and features Coordinate with project teams to maintain program timelines, budgets, resources, and priorities Establish and manage technical requirements that align with customer and business performance expectations Engage with engineering to ensure designs meet standards, regulations, and technical feasibility Collaborate with reliability teams to confirm products meet durability and performance goals Monitor and comprehend industry regulations, safety prerequisites, and certification standards (UL, NSF, CE, etc.) Support technical service and warranty teams in resolving product issues while maintaining product performance and functionality Qualifications Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional partners and customer stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think strategically and execute tactically Constantly seeking opportunities to streamline, enhance, and optimize processes An independent worker who can progress tasks with minimal supervision Key Skills & Experience Thorough knowledge of fountain beverage dispensing systems Hands-on experience in engineering fountain systems for QSR or convenience-store settings Experience collaborating directly with customers to define requirements and project scope Strong background in writing or contributing to technical specifications Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, straightforward manner Excellent communication and collaboration proficiencies Experience identifying and resolving product quality or performance issues Solid understanding of electromechanical systems and subsystem interactions Familiarity with safety, compliance, and certification requisites (UL, NSF, CE, etc.) Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering 5-10 years of experience in beverage dispensing or food equipment product development
