Job Description
- Support new product development from concept through production.
- Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and release documentation.
- Design components and assemblies using sound engineering principles.
- Support platform development and continuous product improvement.
- Assist Naval Architecture, Mechanical Systems, and Electrical Systems teams with engineering activities.
- Perform engineering calculations and basic analysis.
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional problem solving.
- Develop engineering specifications and technical documentation.
- Support prototype fabrication and assembly.
- Evaluate prototype fit, function, and manufacturability.
- Participate in on-water testing.
- Document findings and recommend design improvements.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
- Collaborate with suppliers on component development and technical issues.
- Support supplier validation and product launches.
- Support warranty investigations and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce cost, and simplify manufacturing.
- Contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Assist in New component development and execution.
- Assist in New systems development and execution. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of product development experience.
- Proficiency with Rhino, SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Marine industry experience a plus
- Wake or towboat experience a plus
