Job Description
RF System Engineer 1
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and deployment of data center solutions for satellite collection-based systems. This role supports mission-critical communication and signal processing environments by contributing to systems engineering efforts across hardware, software, network, and Radio Frequency (RF) components. The ideal candidate has foundational experience with RF and signal processing systems and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, integration, testing, and deployment of data center solutions for satellite collection-based systems.
- Contribute to systems engineering activities across hardware, software, networking, and RF components to ensure system performance and interoperability.
- Assist with the development and integration of RF and signal processing systems supporting communication system applications.
- Support system requirements analysis, architecture development, verification, and validation activities.
- Participate in system integration testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation to ensure compliance with technical and mission requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including systems engineering artifacts, test plans, interface control documents, and configuration management records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support system lifecycle sustainment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of Systems Engineering experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline.
