Role:
We are seeking an execution-focused Contract Embedded RF/DSP Engineer to join our technical team under a flexible, part-time Corp-to-Corp (C2C) or 1099 arrangement. Operating on a targeted 10-15 hour weekly cadence, you will work directly alongside our Secure Operations Lead to migrate validated, high-precision radar simulation models into hardware-isolated, real-time edge processing code for our active OSD/OSW Phase II project milestones.
Critical Security Requirements:
Citizenship:
Due to strict federal export control and ITAR regulations, United States Citizenship is mandatory for this position. Dual-citizenship or unvetted foreign national profiles cannot be considered.
Security Clearance:
Candidates must possess an active DoD Secret Security Clearance to handle tactical integration loops and physical data processing packages on-site.
What You Will Do:
Ingest validated algorithmic models from our upstream simulation team and port them into optimized low-level C, C++, or Rust embedded pipelines. Implement real-time multi-static radar tracking, data fusion, and multi-sensor processing loops on tactical edge hardware targets. Optimize compiled software footprints to execute consistently under strict sub-10ms latencies . Utilize your weekly hours for remote software development combined with targeted on-site hardware-in-the-loop validation runs at our laboratory facility.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
5+ years writing hardware-level software for embedded platforms, microcontrollers, or Software Defined Radios (SDRs).
Technical Mastery:
Deep mathematical comfort with digital signal processing (DSP), including tracking frameworks like Extended Kalman Filters (EKF) and sensor Jacobian matrices.
Spatial Analysis:
Solid grasp of spatial coordinate transformations, Doppler filtering, and raw range/bearing vector telemetry streams.
Workflow Alignment:
Experience working within strict trunk-based git environments utilizing native pull request protections and automated containerized smoke testing ( Docker / Pytest ).
Proximity:
Must be locally or regionally situated to reliably commute to our facility in Manassas, VA for mandatory hardware validation cycles.
