Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance; an active Secret clearance is strongly preferred We are hiring a Senior RF/Phased Array Test Engineer for a long-term contract supporting advanced RF communications and sensing programs. This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone with deep experience in RF systems, software-defined radio, phased-array antennas, and complex test environments. You will lead test activities, develop comprehensive test strategies, analyze performance data, troubleshoot RF and digital-system issues, and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams. What You'll Do Lead RF, phased-array, and software-defined radio test activities Develop test strategies, procedures, automation frameworks, and technical documentation Test and evaluate phased-array performance, including beamforming, beam steering, and array calibration Perform far-field and near-field antenna-pattern measurements Evaluate key RF parameters, including EVM, ACPR, phase noise, and spurious emissions Troubleshoot complex RF, microwave, digital, and signal-processing issues Analyze large test datasets using MATLAB or comparable analytical tools Develop test and automation scripts using Python, C++, or similar languages Operate spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and related RF test equipment Coordinate test schedules, technical deliverables, and results across engineering and program teams Present findings clearly and maintain thorough technical documentation Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline At least seven years of relevant RF, phased-array, SDR, or microwave test-engineering experience Strong understanding of RF propagation, modulation, frequency planning, link-budget analysis, and digital signal processing Hands-on phased-array experience involving beamforming, beam steering, and array calibration Experience with far-field and near-field antenna testing Proficiency with RF laboratory equipment, including spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, and oscilloscopes Experience testing EVM, ACPR, phase noise, spurious emissions, and other RF performance parameters Ability to develop test automation, procedures, and scripts using Python, C++, or related tools Experience analyzing large technical datasets with MATLAB or similar software Demonstrated ability to systematically troubleshoot complex RF and digital systems Strong technical communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to work onsite in Lexington four days per week Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Active Secret clearance Experience integrating SDR hardware with phased-array antennas and RF front ends Knowledge of phase-coherent multichannel systems and precision timing Familiarity with FCC, NTIA, ITU, or MIL-STD requirements FPGA or hardware-accelerated signal-processing experience Familiarity with real-time operating systems or embedded software development Why Consider This Opportunity?
