What this Department does: The Subsurface Operations team focuses on subsurface engineering, focusing on the design, implementation, and monitoring of Class VI injection wells and gas storage projects. What You'll Do You can expect to: Assist in the analysis and interpretation of subsurface data. Support the design and optimization of injection and storage wells. Participate in field drilling operations and data collection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success What you will learn: How gas storage fields operate and the operations and data collection and analysis for safe and productive operations The design of CO2 wells and the monitoring data collection and analysis for safe and productive operations How to present subsurface data and project results to a variety of audiences: technical, peers, management.

Education:

Student actively enrolled in an approved Petroleum Engineering degree program with expected graduation date of December 2026 - May 2028 Experience/Specific Knowledge (what skills, classes, experience do they need to have) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Basic understanding of subsurface engineering principles.

Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse) What Else You Need to Know Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Lakewood office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks. Compensation And Other Benefits Pay Range $26.18-$37.09 USD Hourly The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location.
