Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Transmission Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing complex transmission systems within the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. This energetic position requires a proactive approach to equipment troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression units, pipeline systems, and heavy equipment, all while adhering to rigorous safety protocols and process safety management (PSM) standards. Your expertise will contribute to reliable energy delivery and operational excellence across outdoor work environments. Duties Diagnose and repair transmission components using advanced mechanical skills, hand tools, and engineering troubleshooting techniques Perform electrical diagnostics on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other automation equipment Conduct preventive maintenance on natural gas compression units, pipeline infrastructure, and heavy equipment to minimize downtime Operate heavy machinery safely during installation, repair, or replacement of transmission parts Follow safety protocols diligently, including process safety management (PSM) procedures, emergency response readiness, and hazard assessments Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues related to oil & gas transmission systems Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and operational logs for compliance and continuous improvement Experience Proven experience in equipment repair within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries, with a focus on transmission systems or pipeline operations Strong electrical diagnostics skills involving PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and control panels Hands-on experience with outdoor work environments, including natural gas compression facilities and pipeline infrastructure Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment operation for installation or maintenance tasks Familiarity with process safety management (PSM), safety protocol adherence, and emergency response procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for measurements, calibrations, and troubleshooting processes Demonstrated capability in mechanical troubleshooting combined with electrical expertise to resolve complex system issues efficiently Join us in ensuring the safe delivery of energy through expert maintenance of transmission systems!
