Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 3-4+ years of experience to support LNG plant, compressor station, and natural gas facility projects . This is a hands-on Field Engineering position combining on-site project support with office-based engineering activities. Gas Transmission & Storage experience is preferred. Candidates with experience in LNG, compressor stations, natural gas, pipelines, power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial facilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Provide field engineering support for LNG plants, compressor stations, and related gas facilities Perform field investigations and walkdowns and verify existing conditions against drawings, specifications, P&IDs , equipment layouts, and construction packages Support projects through design, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, and closeout Manage project activities including design review, bid preparation/evaluation, budgeting, scheduling, construction oversight, and commissioning Review engineering design packages, specifications, drawings, contractor shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field changes Monitor contractor work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, applicable codes, and engineering standards Identify and resolve constructability issues, field deviations, equipment problems, and technical issues Support inspection, testing, commissioning, startup, punch-list resolution, and turnover Support outage planning, work sequencing, material readiness, permit planning, and construction readiness Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Construction, Purchasing, contractors, consultants, vendors, and plant personnel Prepare field reports, inspection records, issue logs, technical evaluations, and project documentation Provide field support during equipment failures and emergency situations as required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 3+ years of engineering experience in the gas or power generation industry Strong knowledge of gas systems, LNG facilities, compressor stations, or power generation equipment Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, specifications, isometrics, and equipment layouts Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and field problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with contractors, craft labor, construction supervisors, Operations, and Engineering Ability to travel to project and facility locations as required Driver's License required Preferred Experience LNG Plants Compressor Stations Gas Transmission & Storage Natural Gas / Pipeline Facilities Construction & Field Engineering Testing & Commissioning P&IDs / Isometrics Pressure Testing Welding / NDE documentation Equipment Procurement Outage & Construction Planning 49 CFR Parts 192 & 193 NFPA 59A
