1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Our client, a global leader in the medical device industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development of a next-generation surgical robotic platform. This hands-on opportunity focuses on complex PCBA design, electrical system integration, testing, and troubleshooting from concept through commercialization. The ideal Electrical Engineer will have strong Altium experience, advanced PCB design capabilities, and a background developing complex electromechanical systems. Key Focus Lead the electrical design and development of a major robotic subsystem while collaborating with Software, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to deliver reliable, production-ready electrical solutions. What You'll Do Lead electrical subsystem design, translating product requirements into electrical specifications and detailed designs. Develop complex PCBAs, including schematic design, component selection, and rigid, flex, and rigid-flex board designs. Perform PCB layout reviews, board bring-up, characterization, testing, and debugging using Altium. Integrate electrical hardware with embedded software, mechanical components, and robotic systems. Evaluate technical tradeoffs involving performance, safety, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and risk. Develop electrical verification and EMC/EMI testing strategies. Troubleshoot complex electrical and multidisciplinary system issues. Support design documentation, risk management, design transfer, and product commercialization. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience. Advanced PCBA design experience, including schematic design, component selection, layout review, board bring-up, and debugging. Proficiency with Altium and experience with rigid, flex, or rigid-flex PCB designs. Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI design, testing, troubleshooting, and design for manufacturability. Experience integrating electrical hardware with embedded software and mechanical systems. Background developing complex electromechanical, robotic, medical, or similarly sophisticated products. Experience supporting product development from requirements through verification, design transfer, and commercialization. Medical device experience involving design controls, risk management, IEC 60601, or Design History File (DHF) documentation. Strong communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
