We are seeking enthusiastic Robotics Instructors to lead our Build Bots Academy , an interactive afterschool program that introduces students to robotics through creativity, exploration, and real-world problem-solving. About Build Bots Academy Build Bots Academy immerses students in the fundamentals of robotics. Participants learn how robots sense their environment, make decisions, and perform tasks. With guided instruction, students design, build, and program robots to complete engaging challenges while strengthening critical thinking, perseverance, and teamwork skills. What You'll Do As a Robotics Instructor, you will guide students through fun, hands-on activities such as: Building and coding robots to race through colorful obstacle courses with twists, turns, and surprise challenges Creating robots that can "see" or "hear" their surroundings using sensors Leading team-based missions where robots deliver packages, rescue objects, or solve puzzles using strategy and collaboration Responsibilities Facilitate engaging, age-appropriate robotics lessons Support students in building, programming, and testing robots Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment Communicate effectively with program staff and site partners Qualifications Experience working with children or youth (education, camps, afterschool programs preferred) Interest or background in robotics, engineering, coding, or STEM Strong communication and classroom management skills Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic Ability to pass a background check and complete required training Schedule & Pay Afterschool hours (weekday afternoons) Competitive hourly pay Curriculum, materials, and training provided Why Join Us?
