Position Overview As a Robot Operator , you will work directly with Skild AI's cutting-edge robotic systems and play a crucial role in developing their capabilities. Data collection and teleoperation are central to how we train robotic intelligence, and we're seeking detail-oriented, curious individuals who can quickly learn new setups and tasks, follow precise instructions, and adapt to evolving priorities. Responsibilities Operate robotic systems across a variety of tasks (e.g., packing, insertion, assembly, manipulation). Execute teleoperation and data collection workflows accurately and consistently. Maintain efficiency, precision, and safety standards at all times. Collaborate with supervisors and engineering leads to troubleshoot and improve workflows. Uphold company policies regarding professionalism, safety, and performance. Preferred Qualifications Comfortable using VR systems like the Pico, MetaQuest or similar headsets (necessary). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures. Baseline technical literacy (e.g., computer use, basic troubleshooting). Effective communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to perform both standing and seated work for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfort with standing, walking, crouching, reaching, and other physical tasks. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Other Details This is a full-time, on-site position based at our facility.
Typical schedule:
Monday through Sunday, 8-hour shifts (morning 7a-3p, evening 3p-11p, and overnight 11p-7a) . Candidates must meet performance expectations for both the quality and quantity of data collected.
