Selects data needed to create maps, including photos, aerial photos and satellite information, and helps produce and update maps that show boundaries or topographical information.

Job Description
at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description This is the project lead level of engineering, planning, and/or surveying technician work at the division or department level. In addition to work performed at the EPS Technician IV level, employees are responsible for multiple, major projects and making decisions based on current policies, practices, and procedures that impact broader engineering, planning, and/or surveying programs or functions. Incumbent is expected to work overtime during nights, weekends and holidays as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician V Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:Maintenance Support:
Three years experience in preparing construction contract plans from conceptual design stage to final design. Three years experience in performing Computer Assisted Drafting and Design (CADD) using software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD. Three years experience in project management which includes planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating projects to ensure objectives are met. Six months experience in contract management and control which includes ensuring compliance with terms of contracts; negotiating changes to existing contracts. Three years experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data. Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.
