Job Description

Part-Time Surveyor Assistant (SURVI) #HILO_INDEED We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Surveyor Assistant to support a land surveying crew with fieldwork. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with physical work, and is interested in learning about the surveying industry. Training will be provided. Hours Part-time, 3 days a week, days and end times may vary depending on project needs.. Location Hilo, Big Island Pay $20 an hour Responsibilities Assist the surveyor with measurements and field data collection. Carry, set up, and maintain surveying equipment. Hold survey rods, mark measurement points, and place stakes. Clear light brush and help provide access to survey areas. Follow instructions carefully and record information accurately. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Travel to job sites with the survey crew island wide. Qualifications Dependable and punctual for a 6:30 a.m. start. Comfortable working outdoors in heat, rain, and uneven terrain. Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively as part of a small crew. Valid driver's license required. Previous construction, landscaping, farming, or general labor experience is helpful but not required.
